Today's Quote--"Dignity of the Human Person; Pursuit of Excellence; Truth; Freedom; Justice; Service"--The Core Values of Gonzaga University

Sound familiar to anyone else? The point: I have to write a personal statement to get into grad school. I actually have to write two. One for each University. Oy! I am so lazy!

Happy belated birthday to Alli! I sent you a present, but because I am so lazy, I mailed on your birthday. So you may get it before November. *sigh* :D

That's the last of the B-days I can remember. I'm horrible at remembering everyone elses...Sam is sometime at the beginning of April (6, 7, 8)...I remember her telling me that she was born on the same day Jesus was actually born. Unfortunately that doesn't help too much since I can't remember His birthday either. ED and Pooh-bear are in March...and Pooh-bear comes first...but I can't remember dates there either. *sigh* Mind like a steel sive. Anyone else is actually impossible. I remember Junko's...but that's cause her's is Valentine's Day. Why couldn't the rest of you have been born on or near holidays...like Ed who was born the day after St. Patty's Day...It'd make my life easier. ;) Right, so if you want random birthday cards and possibly even grusome homemade gifts...you better give me dates. Otherwise all you'll get are "It's your Birthday Month!" cards. :P

Oh yes...the job. I should find out the end of this week. She had to interview some more people since a few dropped out after the interview. Sooooo....I'm just sitting around waiting. I can't stand trying to apply anywhere else right now. I'm fed up with the whole job hunting bit...really. If I don't get this job...we'll see if Wal Mart will look at my application again. Did I mention I never heard back from them? And I thought it would be a cinch for them to hire me. Everytime I walk in there I think, DUDE! I could totally do this job! Why'd you hire Nancy and not me?!!!! Damn BA. Everyone thinks you're too good for minimum wage. Well, okay, I think that too. *sigh* But still....(the perfect argument).

So, since I've been sitting around doing nothing, I figure I better write my personal statements. I just have so little motivation. About a month ago, I could've written them, but I didn't. Now I want to write them, but I just feel...blah. So, I'm going to try and get inspired by rereading the info packet from Gonzaga. "I wanna be a Soka Educator" and "That's just like the peeps you put out" are my main theme so far. Oh yes and "Education is the foundation of society" and "Society needs positive changes" and "In order to create a society that values diversity we must begin at the foundation, education, and encourage students to explore and value diversity" *whew* Right...so, that's all I go so far. Personal statements are a page long right? Double-spaced or not? Or should I take the letter format? All my cover letters for jobs have been tossed into the garbage by one company or another, so maybe I better stick to essay format.

As you can see...I need to be back in school! Right...Here's to trying anyway.
