Today's Quote--"Even bull-crap dressed up in enough formatting can look good."--Me
This, of course, is a reflection of my current writing paper. Bleh. Now it's time to think of Japanese. Double bleh, though not for lack of interest...it's just difficult.
Yes, I've been leaving ya'll in the dark if you don't live on campus at the moment (if you ever have...). So, this weekend a mysterious letter appeared in the cafeteria expressing some concerns about SUA. Some concientious Juniors promptly moved it to the dorms, where only students could get ahold of it, but did slip some under admin doors. This letter was from anonymous to Benedict Arnold. You saw my reply and from that can probably guess what was in the letter. Anonymous just owned up today. Shawn Campbell...I thought for sure it'd be a freshman, but he did write us all a nice email, sort of apologizing, but mainly just explaining. I'm going to send him my response. I didn't want to continue the argument by sending it out to the whole campus or something, which is why it ended up here...but now that I have a name I can send it, and with a hug of encouragement. So far, though, there hasn't been any protests on the green or emergency meetings declared by the President, so this might all just be a prelude. Oy. Anyway, that's what's been up. Sorry for the vagueness!
Dinner last night was great...so was the movie. I've never seen Akira before, but I've heard a lot of good things about it. Yeah, it was good! It was kinda cool just hanging out with someone from off-campus, but Ed and I have a few similarities that make it fun. We both agree that it'll have to happen again!
Ryo and Mike S. are both on campus...it's so great to see them! When Ryo walked into the cafeteria last night, he got assaulted every three steps...Ed was like, "So is he some kind of superstar on campus or something?" Nope, just a Junior everyone loves...:D I'm missing all my brothers and sisters that are out and about in the world. I had a serious pang at lunch today, walking in and realizing that I couldn't sit with my little clique. :*( And then at dinner I thought a freshman was AT for a second and really just wanted to give her a hug. Senior year is going to be crazy...especially since some people will be gone from our class. Sunny couldn't get her visa, so she's staying here with us...she'll be gone in the fall when all ya'll get back. :( It really just feels like there are pieces of the puzzle of my life missing. But soon, we'll be pool sharking together again. Hey, yeah, what did happen to all the pool sticks? I can't practice! And I need it...as you all know. Herm. ;)
Oh yeah, there's a mountain lion crawling around our canyons...we've got little red notices up everywhere telling you not to walk on the outside of the road at night and they've closed the campus to community walkers/joggers from dusk to dawn. The sign in the cafeteria kinda freaks me out everytime I see it..."CAUTION: There are reports of a Mountain Lion in the Area"...Keeps making think a couger is going to jump out at me from behind the pop machines or something. But that's just my weird brain in action.
Yeah, procrastinating, but I just love talking to ya'll! ;) So I guess I'll go write emails and such and do procrastination somewhere else. ;) Hugs all around. And remember, that bull-crap may smell bad, but if you pour a bottle of purfume on it, no one will ever know. ;)
