Today's quote--"Ours is a world where people don't know what they want and are willing to go through hell for it."--Don Marquis
Now there's a great discription of College life for you...
DONE!!!!! Finished with all these stupid finals, classes, everything. I go home tomorrow! So happy. I'll miss everyone, but it'll be great to be home. So, continuation of yesterday's blog...
Japanese:
Language is a skill we always take for granted. Being sent to a foriegn country to study is scary. Especially when you don't feel confident in your language. English is a pain in the ass, but so is every other language. We need to revert back to universal grunts. This world is full of stupid people. Me included. When you have to write pretty pictures in order to make a paper, it becomes entertaining, but takes six hours longer. Somethings are just better said in another language, which is why every language has parts from some other language. Dictionaries are a basic necessity of life, right along with food, water, and shelter. Practice makes perfect...or at least close.
Music Ensembles:
Conducting is more than waving one's arms around. Moving things is painful, but if you don't do it, someone else will whine about not having a stand. Writing music is hard, even if you're only transcribing something. Hand written music is a pain to read, even if your hand wrote it. This world is full of stupid people. Just because you love something doesn't mean that anyone else will give a flying f***. Pressure is hard to deal with. Delegate and leave them to it. Don't Micro-manage. Don't practice for three hours right before a concert. Dedication is key. Practice is important, if impossible. There are always going to be questions to which you have no answer, it's the knowing of who to send them to that's important. Stress is overreated.
And now...I'm off to be a part of the world. I'll try to write tomorrow morning...:)
