Today's Quote--"Ahhh...feed the addiction..."--Me
Mmmm....it's so good to have my internet fix! *sigh* I'm a very sad person. Addicted to internet. Well, I get to feed my addiction now. :) Regularly even.
Right, I applied for an AmeriCorps position. It's volunteering, but you get living expenses stipend and an educational fund (yeah $$$) when you finish. Plus benefits, deferment on loans and possibly interest on loans, and boy doesn't it look great on a resume. Well...let's hope Cassie can manage to get this position. I'd be working with high school students to encourage cultural/diversity awareness/appreciation. Fun! Right... It's with the interfaith council...I happen to know the president of the interfaith council. :) He's my daddy. :D You think that'll help? I don't know either.
I finally read everyone else's blogs...Looks like everyone is doing good. I can't believe ED is driving! And working two jobs...and is now officially a teacher. Wow. Yeah, I'm jelous, but I'm happy for you too. Of course! The new requirements for Capstone seem like a breeze in comparison to last year (150 pages for Humanities! Honestly people). It'll still be the bane of every senior's existance, I'm sure, but at least there may be fewer mental breakdowns. Maybe. But then again, '06 was always a little bit more mentally stable than '05. And Al is a big bad JET now...teaching those cute little elementary kids all about English and America...;) When she can figure out what the heck they're saying. Thanks for the update about Ann, JP, since she's off in her own little JET world. ;) I understand the pain of being technologically deprived. (see today's quote). Wow...it's so nice to have friends...Everyone mentioned my B-day...I feel so loved! Especially since I suck horribly at remembering people's birthdays. I've got JP and Al down....everyone else I remember months...sorta. :)
Right, just a quick job hunting update. Only 2 1/2 weeks until my first teacher's test. I hear (from a friend who's in his 5th year of music ed major) it's so easy it's a waste of time. Well...you just have to know all that stuff you're supposed to be teaching...and who here got anywhere past simple algebra in elementary school? I think I may even manage. But I should start studying. :) Wow...studying. Fun!
