Today's Quote--"I want to run through the halls of my high school, I want to scream at the top of my lungs. I just found out there's no such thing as the real world, you've got to rise above."--John Mayer, "No Such Thing"
Well, things are getting closer, and the end is coming soon to my summer. It rained finally on Sunday...it's been 6 weeks. The firefighters needed that help. I'm glad they got it! And it was great for the rest of us. I don't know if we're going to go on vacation at all. I really want to get to Montana just for a day or two to say hello to the Jones's and enjoy the beauty...though at the moment it's all burning. Oy.

Managed to pay for my first term...barely. Very barely. And the second term is still waving in the wind as far as payments go. I now begin to appreciate how difficult it must be for S. to get money together to pay for this insane college. I love it, but money is hard to come by, and banks just don't want to give it away...even to good causes. What do you do when there is nothing you can do? Take it all a day at a time, I suppose. I have help for this undergrad stuff, but what am I going to do if I want to go to Grad school? Or thinking realistically, if I have to go get a further undergrad so I can get a job somewhere!? *sigh* It's depressing...so I'm not thinking on it any longer.

Got my host family info. Initially had a bad vibe, but I think it was just my brain being dumb. Small family with two grown up sons, 23 and 25. So it'll just be me and the parents at home. Mmm. Just got an email today from my host mother. In english...so I think I might be all right. :) I hope. I've got two weeks of fun traveling before I go off to school, so I guess I'll have a little time to get used to being in Japan again...(right, like I know everything). I'm getting excited about being in winter weather, but I'm also realizing that my wardrobe is all about sunny Southern California. Ugh. :) so, off shopping I go.

Also, Pappa's got a new schedual, now that there's no office in Southern Idaho...it's his job. So he get's to be at work at 6:30 in the morning, and leave at 3pm. Since Southern Idaho's an hour ahead, he'll be around when they need him. Cool for them, hard for Pappa to get up that early. But it is nice to have him home in the afternoon! Ooo...he'll be home soon, and we're going out...guess...shopping! ;)

Was a little sick on Sunday...eeew! But today I feel mucho better. Though Mom got sick yesterday. Oy! LOL, she took care of me on Sunday and I took care of her yesterday. Ah, what a pair we make!

School's starting soon, I'm not sure when SUA starts up...isn't it like August 18th or thereabouts...Well, I have to admit I wasn't really paying attention! This study abroad thing doesn't bother me too much, I mean, it makes sense that I wouldn't be with my friends. The hard part will be going back to SUA and not seeing them. :*( In just 20 days I'm off to Japan. Kinda scary! And yet another B-day away from home. *sigh* And this time I'm going to be with 7 strangers...the other 6 students from the program and the director. Hmmm. Well, it'll be interesting, I'm sure!
Anyway, off I go...this is pretty long, since I haven't written in a while. So, I'll end it here and be off! TTFN
